Major Supporters Join Lunch to
Discuss GSWA Activities
About 20 critical GSWA supporters sat down to an
April "thank-you" luncheon with staffers and volunteers, learned about a variety
of ongoing projects, and offered their suggestions for garnering additional support from
individuals and foundations.
In addition to ten individual donors, representatives of ten local
foundations joined the gathering, which featured staff presentations about GSWAs
work to analyze local building trends (supported by the Victoria Foundation); its
stewardship of the GSWA Conservation Area property (supported by the Michele and Agnese
Cestone Foundation); and its educational outreach program (supported by the Summit Area
Public Foundation). Trustee Nancy P. Conger also spoke to the group, thanking them on
behalf of GSWAs Board and relating her experiences as a local foundation trustee.
The most-often-heard suggestion from the invited guests: "Keep up the
good work and keep the public, and other foundations, better informed about what
youre doing."
