From Bonnie Gannon, Development Director....

Returning to my native New Jersey in 1998 after living away for 20 years, I was pleasantly surprised to see, among much new development, large parcels of open space.  The Great Swamp watershed, in particular, encompasses an abundance of space for hiking, biking, and enjoying in many other ways.  New Jersey continues to be a beautiful state - but we all need to work hard to keep it that way.

As GSWA's Development Director for a year and a half now, I continue to be amazed at how much this organization does for our area.  The staff, all part-time employees, juggles an enormous workload that truly makes an impact on the quality of life we all enjoy.  Much of that work is summarized in the enclosed annual report.  As GSWA members, you help keep this work alive and growing, but more help is needed.

As you review the annual report and the other articles in Across the Watershed, and as you continue to enjoy our watershed's resources, please consider giving to our Annual Appeal, coming to you in the mail in December.  This campaign is essential to keeping our organization financially stable.  Please give as generously as you can.

Thank you.
