Have a Super Swamp Science Party!
Super Swamp Science Show, first presented during the annual "Do the Swamp Thing" celebration, is now available for travel to private events, including birthday parties. The show demonstrates exciting scientific phenomena that occur routinely in nature but are rarely discerned by casual observers.
Each "experiment" has been carefully chosen for its awesome emotional impact and is designed to pique curiosity and inspire new thirst for learning. The show is adjustable for groups from five years old to adults. Spectators will watch a human head shrink and then become humongous, a gallon container crunch itself up, an echo become visible, gravity being defied, a volunteer's hair stand on end, and a car propelled by light, among other amazing phenomena.
The show is performed by Paul Becker, formerly Solar Energy Coordinator, Special Events Coordinator, and a program presenter at Somerset County Park Commission's Environmental Education Center. The shows are suitable for up to 25 people, with spectator participation optional. A portion of the show fee is a tax deductible gift to the Great Swamp Watershed Association.
Great Swamp Watershed Association was created in 1981 to protect the Great Swamp watershed basin and relies solely on membership and contributions for support. If you're not already a member, become one today. To arrange a show for a family event or for more information, call the Watershed Association at 973-966-1900.
