PSEG Helps Support The Great Swamp Watershed Association and “Do The Swamp Thing 2005”
PSEG, a member of the Great Swamp Watershed Association's Corporate Council and a long-time supporter of our programs, has recently announced support for the Association’s “Do The Swamp Thing 2005.” Ruth Kerkeslager, the Association’s Director of Development said, “This generous grant from PSEG will be used to underwrite the Association’s costs of printing and marketing the annual event. The Great Swamp Watershed Association is deeply grateful to PSEG for its support.”
The Great Swamp Watershed Association’s Corporate Council is a group of area corporations that support the Association’s work to improve community awareness of environmental issues, protect the safety of the water we drink and protect and preserve the land.
With “Do The Swamp Thing 2005” once again the month of May will be dedicated to celebrating the exceptional recreational, historical, and educational resources abundant in the Great Swamp watershed. The Watershed Association will be publicizing events held from April 24th through the beginning of June at venues throughout the region.
Besides the Watershed Association, participants will include the Morris County Park Commission, the Somerset County Park Commission, the National Park Service, US Fish & Wildlife / Friends of the GSNWR, NJ Watershed Ambassadors, NJ Audubon Society and The Raptor Trust.
“Do the Swamp Thing” is organized by Great Swamp Watershed Association and sponsored by Kings Super Markets Inc., PSEG, and Recorder Community Newspapers. For updated “Do the Swamp Thing” events and calendar information, check our website at www.greatswamp.org.

Celebrating more than 20 years as a non-profit organization, the Watershed Association relies solely on membership and contributions to protect the continued health of our watershed’s area.
