Great Swamp Watershed Association’s “Green Acres” Gala 2008
Great Swamp Watershed Association held its “Green Acres”-themed gala on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at the Basking Ridge Country Club. Over 150 members and friends enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres during the silent auction, followed by a seated dinner, a keynote address by Michael Catania, founder and president of Conservation Resources, Inc., and dancing to the music of MamaLuke. The 2008 Gala Sponsor was Wachovia, with additional sponsorships by Wyeth, Peapack-Gladstone Bank and Pfizer. Guests were encouraged to be creative in their attire, and wore everything from blue jeans to boas.
Net proceeds from the gala support the ongoing programs and activities of the Great Swamp Watershed Association, including education, responsible land use advocacy and stream monitoring. For more gala photos, and information on the Great Swamp Watershed Association’s programs, events or volunteer opportunities, please call 973-538-3500 or visit their website at www.GreatSwamp.org.
