Harding Township —Great Swamp Watershed Association’s breakfast briefings resume on September 15 with “Citizen Science — What’s In It For You?” Learn from Danielle Donkersloot, NJDEP’s Volunteer Monitoring Coordinator, about opportunities for citizens to actively participate in observing the environmental health of the state through such programs as World Water Monitoring Day, Community Collaborative Rain/Hail/Snow (CoCoRaHS) network, oil spill monitoring, horsehoe crab counts, and more.
Rounding out this fall’s breakfast briefings series is a presentation on October 13 entitled “How to Go Back2Tap — Tap Water That Is,” with guest speaker Lydia Chambers, Back2Tap co-founder and long time Chatham resident. And on November 10, David Rosen, LEED-certified architect and partner in Rosen Group Architecture/Design will present “Conserving Energy At Home.”
Each briefing will take place from 8 - 9:30 a.m. at the Great Swamp Watershed Association’s offices at 568 Tempe Wick Rd., Harding Township. A complimentary continental breakfast will be served.
