Spring Cleaning of Loantaka Brook
Morris Township — The Great Swamp Watershed Association and AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassadors will hold a stream cleanup at the Loantaka Brook Reservation in Morris Township on Saturday, April 10 from 9:30 a.m. - 12 noon. This rain-or-shine event is open to the public and volunteers will be provided with bags, gloves, bug repellant, water and snacks. The first 20 volunteers to arrive at the Kitchell Pond pavilion (off Kitchell Rd. within the Loantaka Brook Reservation) will receive a Back2Tap reusable water bottle. “Our aim is to promote environmental stewardship in the community,” says Adam Osborn, the AmeriCorps Ambassador for the Upper Passaic River. the 36,000-acre watershed region in Morris and Somerset counties.
