Great Swamp Watershed Association Preserves More Land

MORRISTOWN, NEW JERSEY (April 3, 2023) — Great Swamp Watershed Association (GSWA) announced today the successful negotiation of an easement that took place at the end of 2022. The nearly 2.5-acre easement, part of a larger multi-acre parcel in Bernards Township, contains multiple habitats including Passaic River frontage, floodplain and wetland forest, and rich warm season meadows. The conservation easement contains land representing all these habitats as well as an agricultural area. “Preserving this land minimizes impervious cover, non-point runoff, and other pollution that might have emanated from a new house so close to the river, while protecting this valuable, marshy habitat,” stated... read more →

GSWA Elects Board Co-Chairs-Appoints New Trustees

MORRISTOWN, NEW JERSEY (April 10, 2023) — The Great Swamp Watershed Association (GSWA) is announced today that Jordan Glatt, Special Assistant to the President and Director of Strategic Partnerships at Felician University and B. David Naidu, Partner at K&L Gates, a global law firm, were elected to co-Chair the Board on January 20, 2023. Glatt joined the GSWA Board in 2019 and Naidu in 2021. In addition to his position at Felician University, Glatt is the Shared Services Czar for the state of New Jersey reporting directly to the Governor.
