Forty-five years of protecting our waters and preserving our natural world is a big milestone, and we are celebrating the best way we know how—with great food, fantastic company, and a shared commitment to our environment.

GSWA invites you to join us for a special 45th Anniversary Summer Tea Party Fundraiser at the gorgeous Cora Hartshorn Arboretum and Bird Sanctuary in Short Hills. Surrounded by a lush canopy of over 40 tree species, vibrant native wildflowers, and peaceful woodland birds, it’s the perfect setting to toast nearly five decades of conservation success and help fund the vital work ahead.

Tickets: $75 per person (includes full High Tea service, entry into all activities, and a limited-edition anniversary keepsake)

As it turns out, protecting our local environment isn’t the only thing our team excels at! Several of our GSWA staff members happen to be excellent bakers and cooks, and they are stepping out of the field and into the kitchen to serve you a classic High Tea in style. Come ready to enjoy a completely homemade menu:

• A Delicious Array of Finger Sandwiches—elegant, fresh, and perfect for a summer afternoon.

• Homemade Scones—served with rich clotted cream and sweet, fresh jam.

• Delectable Desserts—a selection of premium sweet treats to top off the afternoon.

Festive Fun & Friendly Competition

This afternoon is all about celebrating our community. Wear your most creative, elegant, or whimsical headwear for our Fancy Hat Contest and you could win a prize. Buff up your local history knowledge for another chance at prizes.

To commemorate this milestone, your ticket includes a truly unique piece of GSWA history. Every guest will take home an exclusive, hand-thrown GSWA ceramic tea cup, custom-designed specifically for our 45th anniversary. CANCELLATION POLICY: Great Swamp Watershed Association (GSWA) makes every effort to assure all programs and events go off as planned. Should an event be cancelled due to severe weather or other unexpected reasons, GSWA will promptly notify all registrants via email and the event page will reflect the status. To accommodate people on the waitlist, participants needing to cancel should do so ASAP. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance will not be refunded unless it is due to a health emergency. Unused registration fees may be converted into a tax-deductible donation.
