Venture outdoors on a crisp, Fall afternoon and experience the changing of colors. GSWA Education Associate, Adam Palmer, will take you on a journey through the trails of Jockey Hollow and identify the many varieties of trees and plants as they begin to prepare for a long winter’s nap. We will also talk about how winter will change this landscape and how it might have looked like for the Continental Army soldiers who were stationed there during the winter of 1779-1780. Note: Advance registration is required, space is limited to 8 people. No walk-ins. Also, please “go before you go” as there are no available restrooms at the site. COVID-19 safety protocols: Programs are offered subject to current advisory status from the Governor’s office. For everyone's safety, GSWA follows strict safety protocols requiring all participants to wear masks and adhere to social distancing protocols.
