Donor purchases tickets for public to attend for free
MORRISTOWN, NEW JERSEY – The Great Swamp Watershed Association (GSWA) announced today that an anonymous supporter has purchased ten tickets to the Gala Celebration and Silent Auction and is donating them to people who have not previously attended this event which takes place Tuesday, October 18, 6:00-9:00 PM at the Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park, New Jersey.
“We are grateful to this anonymous donor and excited to offer five pairs of tickets to people who have not yet had the chance to experience all that our Gala has to offer,” said Sally Rubin, GSWA Executive Director. “This wonderful opportunity is open to anyone who is interested in enjoying a special night out where we will discuss the environmental challenges we all face today and how the important work we do locally at GSWA to protect our water and land helps play into the solution.”
The evening’s Keynote Speaker is Olivia Carpenter Glenn, Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor for Equity in Region 2 of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Ms. Glenn will speak about Environmental Justice with a focus on the inequity that exists in New Jersey and throughout the country regarding clean water and a healthy environment.
“The generous donor purchased these tickets with the hope of inspiring a new audience to engage with our organization and our mission,” stated Ms. Rubin. “We look forward to a motivating evening with our new and sustaining GSWA supporters.”
To enter for a chance for two free GSWA Gala tickets, valued at $500, email SRubin@GreatSwamp.org with the subject, “Free Gala Tickets” – the body of the email must include the applicant’s name, address, email, and phone number. Winners of the free tickets will be notified by email on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.
The Gala is GSWA’s largest fundraiser of the year that includes a cocktail hour, a gourmet meal, a silent auction with over 100 items up for bid to include fine wines, golf packages, theater tickets and more, and remarks from keynote speaker, Olivia Carpenter Glenn. GSWA serves as a leading advocate and defender of New Jersey’s precious natural resources, promoting an understanding of the importance of protecting our drinking water and preserving the natural beauty of our environment.
