The plastic problem starts long before a bottle hits the recycling bin—it begins with nurdles. These tiny plastic pellets are the building blocks of almost every plastic product, but they often end up in our waterways instead of a factory.
Come out to enjoy a light breakfast and learn how we’re monitoring our rivers to track these microplastics and what we’re doing to keep them out of the watershed. It’s a great chance to see the “behind-the-scenes” science of water protection and how tiny pellets can have a huge impact on our local environment.
