7th Annual Great Swamp Great Music Festival

The Great Swamp Great Music Festival is 6+ hours of live music in celebration of clean water and open space. Come unplug and relax at the charming Brook Valley Farm in Chatham Twp. with music that spans a variety of genres. This family-friendly festival atmosphere offers food trucks, adult beverages, unique merch vendors, a “Swamp Sprouts” kids’ corner, and more! Remember to bring your refillable water bottle – complimentary water will be available, courtesy of New Jersey American Water!

Great Swamp Watershed Association (GSWA) is a non-profit organization protecting and improving the Great Swamp watershed & Passaic River region now and for future generations.

Special thanks to the Platt family of Harding Twp. for again offering GSWA this beautiful space. Flanked by a lush, wooded mountainside and the historic Gibbons Horse Barn stables built in 1834, Brook Valley Farm has a rich history in Morris County and is listed in the National and State Register of Historic Places.

(Backup Indoor Location: Drew University, 36 Madison Ave, Madison, NJ. In case of inclement weather, check back here for the confirmed venue location.)

We will provide the big tents for shade, all you need to bring are your blankets, chairs, sunblock, and your groove.

The field is handicap-accessible with parking at the front of the parking area.

Festival Venue, Entry & Parking

VENUE – BROOK VALLEY FARM:  Flanked by a lush, wooded mountainside and the historic Gibbons Horse Barn stables built in 1834, it has a rich history in Morris County and is listed in the National and State Register of Historic Places.

ENTRY & REGISTRATION:  We encourage you to buy your ticket(s) in advance to save time and money. Show your ticket receipt on your cell for even faster check-in.

PARKING:  Parking is free and plentiful. Handicapped parking is available at the front of the lot. For additional requests, email VThorpe@GreatSwamp.org and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is this event rain or shine? Yes! In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved indoors at Drew University,
  • Are dogs allowed? Yes, well-behaved pups on a leash are very welcome! Please come prepared to clean up any messes. If the event is moved to Drew U., unfortunately dogs are not allowed.
  • Can I bring outside food and drink into the festival? We request that you leave your coolers at home and support our festival vendors.
  • Can I bring my own pop-up tent? Yes, but for everyone’s safety, you must bring supplies to properly stake it in place.
  • What forms of payment do you accept? Accepted payment methods include: Credit Cards, PayPal, Venmo, Cash, and Checks.
  • Will there be free water available? Absolutely! New Jersey American Water be on-site offering free “H2O on the Go” so bring your reusable water bottles!
